Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers, Harper Collins, for granting me this wish.
When you’re running away from real life, there’s only one place to go…
When Angela Clark’s best friend Jenny invites her to join a press trip to Hawaii, three days of sun, sea and sleep sounds like the perfect antidote to her crazed life.
At work in New York, she’s supposed to be the face of Having It All. But the only thing Angela feels she excels at is hiding in the printer cupboard, eating Mini Cheddars and watching Netflix on her phone and if this is living the dream, she’s more than ready to wake up.
A few days away with Jenny sounds like exactly what she needs but Angela’s talent for getting into a scrape guarantees nothing goes to plan – and not even the most beautiful beaches, blue skies and daiquiris will get her off the hook…
I ADORE Lindsey Kelk and her writing in general but especially the story of Angela Clarke, Jenny Lopez and the gang. It’s been a beautiful story that has been a part of my life for a long time now and I Heart Hawaii is the eighth and final edition in the series.
I would normally start and finish an I Heart book in a day; however, it took me a good couple of weeks to get through this because I was resisting coming to the end. I know Lindsey’s writing is amazing and I have ever faith in her that she will smash the ending of this series, but I was nervous and also, I didn’t want it to come to an end. I’m not reading to see the last of Angela’s new stories and the craziness she gets herself into.
However, I finally made it, and what an ending it was.
I was in tears for the best part of the last 1/4 of this book. I didn’t have a picture in my head of how I wanted this series to come to an end, but Lindsey still managed to smash it and surpass it. The ending brings everything to a close perfectly, leaving our favourite characters doing what they do best, and I couldn’t have asked for any more from this book.
Thank you, Lindsey for sharing Angela, Jenny and the gang with us and for giving us this gorgeous story of love, friendship, family, and hope. I adore the series; I adored this book and I adore you; your writing is everything and I look forward to what you do next.
I HIGHLY recommend the whole series and especially this book. You can start your journey with Angela with I Heart New York.
I gave this book 5/5 stars.
