Why I Took a Break

I’m back!!!

I’ve come back from my little break, and I’m feeling much better, much more positive and ready to get back to blogging.

I just wanted to give a little explanation as to why I made the decision to take a little break.

This wasn’t a decision I came to lightly. I love my blog and I adore posting content for you all to read. And sharing how I may feel about something whether it’s a book or a certain situation.

However, the last few months for me have been a struggle. In April 2018, I basically wrote most of the years content with only a few gaps for other content that might have come up at that moment. So, I was completely on the ball. In August, I got a new job and I have been exhausted ever since. The job is over an hour’s commute (in the car) from home and it’s a more physical job than I’m use to. Don’t get me wrong, I’m absolutely loving my new job, but its been a lot to get use to.

So, with my new job, doing 12 Days of Blog/Vlogmas AND setting up my new YouTube channel, its been an exhausting couple of months. I’ve powered through, and I was completely fine until the Christmas break, and then I just slumped. Total life slump. I didn’t do much over the Christmas break except eat and spend a lot of time with family, which was great.

But when reality came back around in January and I had to go back to work on the 2nd, I had done absolutely NOTHING for my blog. Zero content lined up. And this was really stressing me out. I hurried my 2018 Wrap Up & 2019 Goals post out but then I was stumped. I knew what I wanted to write, I was just struggling for time to sit down and write it all. So, I made the decision to take a break and allow myself the chance to write at least a months’ worth of content so that I can always be ahead.

I just wanted to say that, as always, I really appreciate your patience with me, and your constant support. You’re all amazing. And I wouldn’t be where I am today without you all so thank you.

I hope you enjoy my content this year and there is a link below for my YouTube channel if you wanted to check it out.

I felt exactly the same after Christmas. I wasn’t half as organised as you last year but I just found it really hard to get back into the swing of things. It’s good to see you back though.

I am new to your blog but eager to see what you have in store for the new year. Everyone needs a little break now and then. We hit ours the end of 2018. We were a solo-book blog and tried to start up a food blog and run both at the same time. Long story short, we are now a mom-lifestyle blog that covers ALL our interests and it has renewed passion for our blog again! I hope you are able to keep the spark you need this time around 🙂 Your blog looks great!
