If you’ve been following my 30 Things Before 30 Bucket List journey (congrats) you will probably recognise the title of this post being number 2 on said list. If you haven’t been following my journey, where have you been? What the hell are you doing with your life? HA just kidding, but still, you should check out the post linked above, it’ll explain all.

This has been a fairly difficult task for me to do, I must be honest. I’m shit with receiving compliments from others, I’m even shitter with complimenting myself. Therefore, it took me a while to get this list down. So, without further ado, lets get into it.

#1      My Eyes

#2      My hair – I’ve always loved my hair, but since I became ginger, I absolutely adore it. Its probably my favourite thing about myself.

#3      My organisational skills – in life, at work, in organising events for people.

#4      My tattoos – I have two tattoos, each with their own story. (If this is something you’d be interested in hearing more about, please let me know).

#5      My loyalty to my friends and family

#6      I am a great listener – I can be a chatter box at times, but I know when to keep my mouth shut and listen to someone when its needed and give advice where appropriate.

#7      I enjoy my own company – this is something I never use to be able to do. I used to hate being on my own and spending time with myself. These days, I can’t get enough of it, I really enjoy my own company. I’m a hoot! LOL

#8      My sense of humour – like I said, I’m a hoot!

#9      My ability to retain information about movies – I have this weird thing where, even if I haven’t seen the film, I could probably tell you who’s in it and a general gist – within reason, obviously. My head is not in fact IMDb (although I wish it was).

#10    On the back of number 9, my ability to learn song lyrics fast and retain them for a ridiculous amount of time.

#11    My taste in music – I think its fair to say that there aren’t many boundaries when it comes to my music taste. I’ll give anything a go once. I ADORE 70’s rock, 80’s music, country, and dance.

#12    My honesty

#13    My passion for books – I mean, does this really need any more explanation?

#14    I’m an introvert…

#15    …But I adore spending time with my friends and family when I get the chance.

#16    My ability to get along with almost anybody.

#17    The fact that I can’t hold a grudge to save my life (although sometimes this can go against me) I just struggle with the anxiety and stress of holding onto that hate for too long and possibly bumping into that person. It gets me down to much, so I just don’t bother.

#18    The fact that I love to travel – whether it be a stay-cation or flying to the other side of the world on my own.

#19    I managed to get through 2 degrees – this is huge for me, considering I wasn’t even sure I’d get through my first.

#20    That I grew up never wearing make up and therefore, it is sometimes still quite a strange thing for me. I am getting more use to wearing it, but only on special occasions. Sometimes I feel more uncomfortable with make up on than I do without.

#21    The confidence I seem to have gained to enable me to set up my YouTube channel. For a girl who isn’t the biggest fan of her voice or face, I think I’m doing okay.

#22    My finger nails – I get them done every 3 weeks and I love the pamper and how gorgeous they always look.

#23    The fact that I work in construction and this seems to shock people ALL the time.

#24    I LOVE that I am a Gryffindor. I think it says a lot about my character.

#25    I like that my creativity comes out in my bullet journal and in my blog. They’ve become really good outlets for me and really helped with my mental health and anxiety.

#26    I own my own home, it’s my biggest achievement to date.

#27    I’m fairly strong, mentally, compared to the person I was several years ago. I have grown a lot over the years, and I think I have come to be quite a strong woman.

#28    I’m also extremely independent (some may say too much). I live on my own, I make my own money, pay my own bills, build my own IKEA furniture. I am a strong independent woman 😀 …

#29    … & I don’t NEED no man… although I’d like one! HA

#30    I have a huge heart. I have no doubt a lot of my friends and family will agree with this, but I love so fiercely, I have a huge heart, and it’s so full of love for all of my friends and family and hopefully, one day, for “the one”.

So, there you have it, 30 things I like about myself.

Have you ever thought about doing a list like this? Although I did struggle at parts, it turned out being a enjoyable task with lots of reflection and self-love involved. I highly recommend trying it.

I hope you enjoyed this post (and it wasn’t too self-involved *eye roll*)

Steph xoxo
